The one-way fare for the FlyAway Bus is $9.75. Tickets are valid for 30 days from the date of purchase. No refunds or extensions will be provided. Tickets can be purchased:

• On the bus using a Visa/Mastercard contactless credit or debit card, or Apple Pay and Google Pay. Cash is not accepted on the bus.

Round-Trip Tickets

Monthly Passes

Metrolink Monthly Pass holders with a flight boarding pass for that day can board the Union Station FlyAway bus to/from LAX at no additional cost. This free transfer only applies to Los Angeles Union Station to LAX FlyAway (Van Nuys is excluded).

Where to buy tickets

You can buy tickets for the LAX FlyAway bus in several ways. Firstly, you can purchase them online, either through the FlyAway bus website or their mobile app. Secondly, you can buy them in person at kiosks at the LAX FlyAway Terminals, including Union Station. It is important to note that tickets are not sold onboard the bus or at LAX itself. Thirdly, you can use a Metrolink ticket machine or buy tickets on the bus with a Visa, Mastercard, or American Express. Cash is not accepted on the bus, but it can be used to buy tickets from Metrolink ticket vending machines at Union Station.

At LAX, passengers board the FlyAway buses on the Lower/Arrivals Level in front of each terminal at the blue FlyAway columns. The FlyAway service to Van Nuys picks up in the same location at LAX as the Union Station FlyAway.

The Hollywood FlyAway Stop is on the south side of Hollywood Boulevard, just east of Argyle Avenue, which is one block east of Vine, near the Red Line Metro stop, the W Hotel, and Redbury Hotel. Shuttles leave hourly at quarter past the hour at the Hollywood stop and at LAX Terminal 1 beginning at 5:15 am.

The Santa Monica FlyAway Stop is in front of the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium at 1875 Main Street. Buses depart Santa Monica and LAX at quarter to the hour, starting at 5:45 am.

The most recent addition to the FlyAway service is the Long Beach FlyAway, which takes passengers to and from the Long Beach Transit Center at the corner of Long Beach Blvd and 1st Street. Hollywood to LAX (Temporarily Closed)

The journey from Long Beach to LAX usually takes about 1 hour, but the duration can vary depending on traffic conditions.

Passengers should arrive at least 10 minutes before the scheduled departure time. It is important to note that the shuttles do not allow any customers on board within 2 minutes of departure for safety reasons. The drop-off location at LAX is the Upper/Departures Level of each terminal, and the pick-up location is the Lower/Arrivals Level of each terminal, next to the BLUE LAX FlyAway sign.

LAX Flyaway bus luggage restrictions

The LAX Flyaway Bus allows each passenger to bring one carry-on item and a maximum of three stowed bags. All luggage must be marked with the owner's name and address on the outside.

Weight and Size Limitations

Each bag can weigh up to 50 pounds, and the combined length, width and height of each bag must not exceed 62 inches. Small items such as cosmetic bags and briefcases should be carried onto the bus.
